IntegrityRisk is seeking current undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in gaining professional experience in conducting database research of an investigative nature. We handle a wide variety of US and international due diligence and business intelligence work for our corporate and financial industry clients, who rely on IntegrityRisk to help them identify risks that may be involved in potential business transactions.
Our Research Interns use a wide array of web-based tools to conduct comprehensive database research on subjects of interest, then accurately analyze findings to determine their relevance and significance. These findings are compiled into a professional, narrative-style report for our clients, who will use them to make accurate, key business decisions.
Conduct research into subjects by using a variety of Internet-based resources and tools
Correctly identify and comprehend relevant information
Analyze details of research findings and present in proper context
Draft well-written narrative summaries that show knowledge of the subjects and any issues
Capably handle all administrative tasks required of the role
Knowledge and Skills
Interest and basic skills in Internet/online database research, preferably to include experience with resources such as LexisNexis
Excellent comprehension, analytical and report-writing capabilities
Superior attention to detail and professional communication skills
Multi-tasking and time management/organization skills, with the desire to work and ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven professional environment
Keen interest in and/or understanding of business-related matters and staying on top of current and international events
Professional level of reading fluency/proficiency in a foreign language is preferred (e.g., Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, SE Asian language or Arabic)
Education and Professional Experience
Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s Degree, with major or experience in at least one concentration that requires intensive qualitative research and report-writing skills (e.g., International Studies/Relations, International Business, Political Science)
At least one semester of a research-focused internship or other work experience in a professional setting is highly desirable but not required
