FULL-TIME RESEARCH ANALYST AND SENIOR RESEARCH ANALYST POSITIONS
RESTON, VIRGINIA

Our Research Analysts are motivated and talented individuals who have a keen interest and experience in conducting database research of an investigative nature. IntegrityRisk handles a wide variety of US and international due diligence and business intelligence work for our corporate and financial-industry clients, who rely on us to help them identify risks that may be involved in potential business transactions. Research Analysts use a wide array of research tools, along with their own research skills, to conduct thorough review of public records and open sources to accurately identify references on subjects of interest. They then apply analytical skills to determine relevance and importance of all findings, which are compiled in a professionally written, narrative-style report for our clients, who rely on our research and analysis to gain insight into subjects’ background, reputation and status so they can make accurate, key business decisions. Individuals who have professional / native reading fluency in at least one foreign language (especially Spanish, Portuguese and/or Arabic) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct research into subjects by using a variety of Internet-based resources and tools

  • Correctly identify relevant information and conduct additional research, where / when necessary, so as to provide all findings in correct context

  • Comprehend details of research findings and correctly analyze / summarize their significance

  • Create well-written, narrative-style reports that “tell a story” and show understanding of who the subjects are and any issues / concerns

  • Capably handle all administrative tasks required of the role, including opening/closing matters, making sure cases stay on track, invoicing clients in a timely manner, etc.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Avid interest and developed skills in Internet / online database research, preferably to include experience with resources such as Lexis Nexis

  • Keen familiarity with online public records and open source information and availability

  • Creative, “out of the box” research capabilities

  • Highly-developed comprehension, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent writing and editing capabilities

  • Superior attention to detail and professional communication (oral and written) skills

  • Proven ability and desire to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Positive team player with experience managing / prioritizing multiple deadlines

  • Possess an interest in and/or understanding of business-related matters, and staying on top of current and international events

  • Professional level of reading fluency/proficiency in a foreign language is preferred

Desired Education and Professional Experience

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a major that requires accurate qualitative research and excellent report-writing skills (e.g., International Studies / Relations, International Business, Political Science)

  • Research Analysts: At least one semester of relevant, qualitative research- and writing-intensive work / internship experience in a professional setting

  • Senior Research Analysts: At least two years of relevant, qualitative research- and writing-intensive work experience in a professional setting

FULL- AND PART-TIME RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS
RESTON, VIRGINIA

Our Research Interns are motivated and talented individuals who have a keen interest and some basic experience in conducting database research of an investigative nature. IntegrityRisk handles a wide variety of US and international due diligence and business intelligence work for our corporate and financial-industry clients, who rely on us to help them identify risks that may be involved in potential business transactions. Research Interns use a wide array of research tools, along with their own research skills, to conduct thorough review of public records and open sources to accurately identify references on subjects of interest. They apply analytical skills to determine relevance and importance of all findings, which are compiled in a professionally written, narrative-style report for our clients, who rely on our research and analysis to gain insight into subjects’ background, reputation and status so they can make accurate, key business decisions. Research Interns will work mostly under the guidance of a Research Analyst or Manager but, with proven skills and interest, may be able to handle work on a more independent basis. A Metro/rail allowance may be available.

Desired Education

  • Current undergrad (sophomore or higher) or graduate student, or recent grad, preferably majoring in International Relations, Business, Humanities or Social Sciences
